Integrated Preschool Program

How old must my child be to enter Pre K-3 or Pre K-4? 
Your child must be age appropriate by our October 15th deadline, (age three by October 15th for Pre K-3, age four by October 15th for Pre K-4). THERE WILL BE NO EXCEPTIONS.

Do we have to be residents of Tenafly in order for my child to attend? 
Currently we are only accepting Tenafly residents. 

What is an Integrated Preschool Program?
An Integrated Preschool Program is a pre-kindergarten class that includes general education students and students with individualized education plans.

Is there a fee for the Program?
Our Integrated Preschool Program is tuition based.  The non-refundable tuition amount is listed on the application form.

What are the hours of the program?  
The Pre K-3 program meets on Monday-Friday mornings from 8:50 -11:30  AM.
The Pre K-4 program meets on Monday-Friday afternoons from 12:20 - 3:00 PM.

Do you provide before and after care for the Integrated Preschool Program students? 
There is no before or after care available for this program.

When will the updated application be available?
The Integrated Preschool Program applications and directions will be available by mid February.

When and where can I submit an application? 
Please complete the application online HERE. 

How many children will you accept in this program?  
We accept 6 tuition paying students in the Pre K-3 program. The number of Pre K-4 openings is limited and varies each year based on the number of returning children from our Pre K-3 program. 

Applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis until spots are filled. Please only submit one application per child. Spaces are limited.

What is the next step if my child’s name is selected?  
You will be contacted and will then need to follow the registration steps on our website to complete the registration process.  Additional proofs of residency, a non-refundable deposit, and all required paperwork need to be submitted by the deadline indicated.

What if my child’s name is not selected in the lottery? 
We would be happy to place your child on our waiting list. If any spots open up at any point during the year, we will contact you.

If my child is in the Pre K-3 program, is he or she automatically enrolled in the Pre K-4 program the following year? 
Yes, you will be given the first opportunity to join us for the Pre K-4 program.

How many teachers/aides are in the room? 
There is one certified teacher and at least two classroom aides.

What curriculum does the Integrated Preschool Program follow? 
This program uses the Creative Curriculum program which takes thematic topics and blends them into many cross-curricular areas such as reading, writing, art, music, and gross motor movement.

Does my child have to be toilet trained prior to them entering the program? 
Children must be toilet trained since this essential skill promotes independence in all schools.
