Assistant Superintendent

Dear Tenafly Students, Staff and Community:

As Assistant Superintendent, I have the privilege of serving our district and continuing to work alongside the educators, staff, students, and families who make up our school community. I have learned that no two days in education are ever the same, and that is one of the many reasons I have found this work so meaningful throughout my career.

I began my career in Tenafly in 2005 as a classroom teacher. Since then, I have served as a literacy staff developer, Principal of Mackay Elementary School, Vice Principal at Tenafly High School, and now as Assistant Superintendent. Each role has provided me with a different perspective on our schools and a deeper understanding of the many ways we support students throughout their educational journey. It has also reminded me that educators are always learning, adapting, and finding solutions—often with a cup of coffee nearby and a willingness to tackle whatever the day brings.

I earned my bachelor's degrees from Brandeis University and my master's degree in Educational Administration from Teachers College, Columbia University.

Throughout my career, I have believed that every student has unique strengths and abilities. Our responsibility as educators is to help students discover those strengths, build their confidence, and provide opportunities for them to grow.

As a longtime member of the Tenafly Public Schools community, I am proud of our district’s history and the commitment of our students, staff, and families. I appreciate the opportunity to continue this work and partner with our community to support our students. After more than 20 years in education, I have learned that there is always something new to learn—and often, the best teachers are the students sitting in our classrooms.
