Student Registration

Please note:  Elementary school placement is based on space availability, not location.

Register Your Child                                                                                
We’re excited to welcome your family to our district and look forward to getting to know you and your child. Whether you are new to the area or have a child ready for preschool, you’ll need to complete the registration
process.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Begin the Online Registration Process via the Genesis Portal (CLICK HERE).

  • Enter the correct school year during registration.
  • You must click the green 'Finalize Registration Information' button to ensure it is received. 

You must be domiciled in Tenafly (or Alpine for high school) to register your student.HOUSING INSECURITY/FRAUD

NOTE: Registration is not complete until all required documents are submitted.

What You Will Need - Registration Checklist

☐  Two (2) Proofs of Residency - lease, deed, mortgage statement or tax bill is required and utility bill or official document as listed on the "Proof of Residency Requirement Document"
☐ Student original birth certificate (if born in United States).  Passport and Visa if born outside the United States
☐ Guardian Photo ID (required for each Guardian)
☐ Student’s previous school records - UNOFFICIAL transcripts and/or report cards.  Official documents will be requested by the school. (If not in English, documents must be translated by a certified translation service and show student's name, school name, and school address.)
☐ Student Health/Physical Exam Form - due upon registration.  If coming from outside United States, due within 30 days of student's start date.
☐ Student Immunization Records (if from outside the United States, must be translated into English using the instructions above and showing the student's name, date of birth, and the name and address of the health provider's office.

☐ IEP (most recent)
☐ 504 (most recent)
