Integrated Preschool Program
The Integrated Preschool Program embraces an inclusive approach, where general education preschoolers and peers with special needs learn together in a supportive environment. This model promotes meaningful interactions, social development, and a well-rounded educational experience for all students.
For the 2025-2026 school year, the program will remain at Stillman Elementary School, serving children ages 3 and 4, and will run Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
In this Program, we will implement the "Creative Curriculum for Preschool" to shape the educational journey of our young learners. Grounded in five core principles, our approach to early childhood education is designed to foster holistic development:
- Social-Emotional Competence: We prioritize nurturing social-emotional skills in our preschoolers, aiding them in forming healthy relationships, managing emotions, and cultivating a positive self-concept.
- Teacher-Child Interactions and Relationships: Recognizing the pivotal role of positive teacher-child relationships, our educators focus on building strong connections, fostering trust, and providing personalized support for each child.
- Constructive, Purposeful Play: Embracing the importance of play in early childhood, our curriculum promotes purposeful play that encourages exploration, creativity, and hands-on learning experiences.
- Interacting With the Environment: Our curriculum inspires children to engage meaningfully with their surroundings, fostering curiosity, exploration, and a sense of wonder. We cultivate a stimulating environment that encourages learning through discovery.
- Partnerships With Families: Acknowledging the significance of family involvement, our curriculum emphasizes regular communication and collaboration with families to support each child's development and progress.
In Tenafly, we champion early education, striving to provide a solid foundation for children's future success. Our integrated preschool program fosters a positive and inclusive environment where children of all abilities can learn, play, and grow together. We are dedicated to creating a supportive and engaging learning experience that prepares our preschoolers for the next steps in their educational journey.
Thank you for your interest in our preschool program.
