My name is Sra. Ribau. I am proud to be teaching your children the wonders of the Spanish language and its many diverse cultures. Years ago, I made a decision to change careers and do what I love and enjoy doing, which is teaching.  I decided to leave the corporate business world and go back to school. I have never regretted this amazing life-changing journey. I have my B.A. in Spanish with Teacher Certification K-12, and a Master's in Education, Learning, and Technology.  I am fluent in Spanish, Portuguese, and English.

My Spanish teaching method is centered around a communicative approach that incorporates the four main language skills of speaking, listening, reading, and writing that are used in everyday life. In order to supplement the work we do in class, students will be required to complete homework assignments and periodic projects as well as various types of assessments. Participation is key in this class. 

Learning a second language is an exciting opportunity that is very useful in today's diverse world. My goals this year for your children include helping them develop vocabulary and knowledge of key phrases in the Spanish language and helping them appreciate cultural differences between our culture and those of Spanish-speaking countries around the world.
