Dear Mackay Families,

I hope this email finds you healthy and safe, and keeping cool!  I am honored to be back at Mackay Elementary School as Acting Principal, and I hope to make 2022-2023 one of the best school years yet! 

It is hard to believe, but I have been a part of the Tenafly community for 20 years, and coming to Mackay is a bit like coming home for me.  I have taught both second and fourth grade at Mackay, and many of you will remember me from the fall of 2020 when I served as your Acting Principal.  That same spring, I also served as Acting Principal for Maugham Elementary School.  Most recently, I have had the privilege of working with students, teachers, and the administrative team as a staff developer and then as Director for Gifted Services; a role that enabled me to work with students, teachers, and administrators district-wide.  I am also a proud Tenafly parent and resident, where my children attend Tenafly High School, Tenafly Middle School, and Stillman Elementary School.  

I am excited to be a member of Team Mackay as we embark on another amazing year together.  Mackay is a special place- a place where our teachers, students, and families fill the halls with warmth, care, respect, grit and let’s not forget hard work and dedication.  I am so happy to be home again with all of you.
