Dear Fourth Graders,
Welcome to 4th grade! I hope you all had an enjoyable summer with family and friends. We had a wonderful first day of school and I am excited for this fun-filled school year!
I know that 4th grade is new to you, but I am sure that by working together we will have an exciting and successful school year! I have so many engaging activities planned throughout the year for our class. Fourth grade can be challenging, but I know that you are prepared and will do terrific! It will be important to stay organized and write down your homework every night in your agenda. We will practice this procedure over the course of the first couple of weeks.
This year will be full of new concepts and ideas. We will begin with a Personal Narrative unit in writing, a place value and number sense review in math and plenty of getting to know you activities.
I know the beginning of the year can be hectic so here’s a friendly reminder of some necessary forms that can be found on the TPS website. These should completed and sent into school with your child at your earliest convenience.
