Hello! Welcome to 6th Grade Physical Science for the 2022-2023 school year. My name is Emma Cawley and I am a first year teacher this year. I recently graduated from James Madison University in Virginia, where I received my Bachelors of Science with a major in biology and a Masters of Arts in Teaching (Go Dukes!). The goal I have for my students coming out of 6th grade science is for them to be life-long learners, effective communicators, and leaders in society. My passion for science education focuses on student-centered learning that involves hands-on, inquiry-based activities. When I am not at school, I enjoy practicing yoga, hiking, and cooking. I also love to garden and play the guitar! I am excited to form a community in the classroom and have a fantastic school year!
