Welcome 5A Parents and the 5A Graduating Class of 2019!

Once again, I am extremely proud and elated to be part of the incredibly high performing and very well respected district that is the Tenafly Public Schools! The 2018-2019 school year is my 12th year teaching at the elementary level and my 6th year teaching at Maugham School!

As an elementary educator, I tackle each day with consistency, routines, exploration, creativity, efficiency, out of the box learning risks, and implementing a plethora of uniquely rigorous instructional learning challenges!

I first like to guide and model, and then allow my students the freedom to cultivate and take ownership of their own different styles of learning. The latter helps to foster independently creative learning paths and helping to instill the ability to advocate for themselves.

My academic goals have always been to challenge each and every student that walks into my classroom by providing the highest quality of instruction. The latter not only meets students' individual learning needs but also is combined with expectations that are very high.

I also utilize project based learning, research, and group projects in 5A quite frequently. It is my philosophy to have students take ownership of their learning by having them select and use whichever style of learning they like such as tactile, visual, and/or auditory projects.

One of my greatest passions is technology! I have utilized Google Classroom in 5A for over three years and will continue to implement Google Drive, Google Docs, and Google Slides wherever and whenever possible to enhance learning.

I value my 5A parents and how well they know their own children. Fostering a solid partnership with the parent community at Maugham School has always proven to be an essential and invaluable component regarding the development of a successful school year for all. By maintaining frequent communication with the parent community, my students' academic, social, and emotional successes can and will thrive!

Please always email me with ANY questions that you may have throughout the school year at pbernaldoantonelli@tenafly.k12.nj.us
I look very much forward to our 5A meet and greets in September!

Together we can make the impossible possible!
