About Ms. Alstete
I was born and raised in New Jersey and both of my parents are teachers. I am so happy to be able to teach close to home and build relationships within this amazing community.
I’ve always loved helping people and learning new things. I want students in my classroom to feel safe, curious about learning, and challenged! In my free time I love to exercise, read, plant, and practice graphic design.
4th grade is an amazing year because it is a time to work on critical thinking, responsibility, independence, and learning new skills. Some of my personal favorites are division, double-digit multiplication, diving deeper into theme as readers, and writing a news article!
I can’t wait to have another great year in 4th!
My Teaching Philosophy
Students learn best when they are engaged, invested, and doing meaningful work. All students are capable of learning, but each student is a unique individual and may need a different access point to the reach objectives.
