Welcome to Tenafly Middle School. I am Nancy Parker, the Learning Consultant for the Child Study Team. I am looking forward to working with your children and for a successful school year.
My function on the Child Study Team is to assess the educational impact that a student's disability may have on his or her successes in the classroom. I will assess the student's reading, writing, math and language abilities in order to determine if there is an educational/academic impact on the student. Students are assessed with a variety of methods including: standardized test, functional assessments, parent and teacher inputs are all part of the evaluation process. Furthermore, I also function as the Case Manager for the special education students.
