Welcome to Physical Education / Health
I am a graduate of William Paterson University and hold a degree in Exersice and Movement Science with a K-12 Teaching certification. This is my 12th year of teaching at T.M.S and have taught both Family Life and Physical Education classes. I currently run the Open Gym after school club on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:57-3:57, and coordinate the 6th Grade Reachout trip. In my free time, I enjoy fishing, hunting, hiking and spending time with my family.
This course is designed to continue to give students the opportunity to gain personal fitness skills and knowledge through an enriched Physical Education program. Students will be empowered to make choices, meet challenges and develop positive behaviors in fitness, sport and movement activity for a lifetime. Emphasis is placed on students learning personal fitness, including health-related fitness and wellness concepts, self -assessments, and activities. Units of instruction include: Fitness and Wellness for all, Learning Selected Team Sports, Lifetime Physical Activity, and Components of Health Related Fitness. Grading is broken down into: Participation 35% Preparation 35% and Assements: 30%.
