Degrees and Certifications:
Welcome to the profile page of Mrs. Maloney, English teacher at Tenafly High School.
I have worked in Tenafly since 1991 and started my education career in 1988. Across my years at Tenafly, I have taught grades 9-12 (all levels) and have served as an advisor of various activities, including Virtual High School (7 years), yearbook (8 years), and newspaper (8 years). I have also been involved in numerous other roles within the school and district.
I attended Duke University (undergraduate degree) and William Paterson University (graduate degree). Beyond my master's degree in English, I have received an additional 70 graduate credits in literature, writing, and education.
Along with teaching certifications in elementary and English education, I also hold certifications as a supervisor and principal.
Information about homework and other assignments can be found in Google Classroom.
Outside of class hours, students can reach me through Google Classroom and/or via email. Students who wish to schedule a 1:1 meeting with me over Zoom should make a request via email. I will write back to suggest days and times when I have availability. I generally schedule those meetings between 2:15 and 3:30pm.
Best wishes for a productive and enjoyable school year.
