MultiFactor authentication (MFA) adds a layer of protection to the sign-in process. When accessing accounts or apps, users provide additional identity verification, such as entering a code provided on an app or phone.
Beginning August 31, 2022, all TPS users accessing technology on the TPS network will be required to login using MFA.
MFA is being used to protect district staff and data safe from security threats.
- Signing into the school network: When MFA is enforced, after signing into the district technology, you will be prompted to enter a security code that is sent to your personal cell phone or district-provided fob/security key/hardware token.
- Signing into the network or district technology throughout the day: You will need to re-authenticate using the phone app or fob when/if a technology times out. MFA occurs every time you sign in for a technology
