Facilities Naming

The naming of a Tenafly Public School facility serves as an honor for the individual after whom it is named.  This individual should have a connection to the Tenafly Public Schools and in some capacity served as a role model.
 In order for a nominee to be considered, at least two members from different constituencies within our community must bring forward this nomination. 
 According to Board Policy 7250, School and Facility Names, when it has been determined that the naming of a facility or building is appropriate, a name  (or several names) is (are) to be recommended by the Superintendent and approved by the Board no sooner than one year following the end of the individual's employment or service to the district nor should there be any fund-raising activity preparations without prior approval of the naming by the Board.
The Tenafly Public Schools Facilities Naming Form must be completed to submit a nomination.
