I am excited to once again be teaching second grade at Maugham Elementary School.  

Prior to teaching in Maugham, I  worked as the Technology Staff Developer for thirteen years in the Tenafly schools. During the first ten years of my teaching career, I taught in various positions in elementary schools in NY and Florida.  Among those positions, I taught Grades 3 and 4, Art for Grades K-6, and was the Computer Lab teacher and Technology Coordinator for Grades K-6.  Overall, I have been in the field of Education for over 30 years.  My, how time flies!

I am proud to share my credentials with you; I have an undergraduate degree from St. John's University where I majored in Education and minored in French. I received a Master's Degree in Education with a specialty in Elementary Mathematics from CUNY Queens College.  Continuing my education with graduate courses at Montclair State University, I completed my Supervisor Certification in June of 2005. In July of 2015 I received my Principal Certification through the NJEXCEL program.

While I expect to check my email by 8:00 AM each morning, an immediate response is not always possible, especially for emails sent to me during the school day. I may only be able to check email again after 3:15 PM.  If ever you have an especially timely request/question or last minute change of pick-up, please send a written note that your child could deliver in the morning or call Mrs. Walsh in the office.
