Degrees and Certifications:

Ms. Danielle Breakfield

Bitmoji ImageHello! My name is Danielle Breakfield and I am thrilled to be your child’s teacher for the 2020-2021 school year! This will be my sixth year having my own classroom and teaching fourth grade at Maugham School. Although, I have only been teaching here for a few years, I have been a part of the Maugham family for quite some time. As a Tenafly Alumnus, I started out first as a Maugham School student. After receiving a degree in Psychology with a dual certification in Elementary and Special Education from Marist College, I am happy to be returning to my home school district. Since graduating Marist in 2014, I have fulfilled long-term leave replacements for Mrs. Langford and Mrs. Keomurjian. As a teacher you are a life-long learner and I recently received my Masters Degree in Reading from Montclair University and am continuing my studies through various professional development courses. I am excited for yet another wonderful year here at Maugham School.
In my spare time I enjoy reading, listening to music, traveling, going to the beach and spending time with my friends and family. I have a younger brother, Anthony who attended Sacred Heart University and is working for NBC.
My hope is to instill a love of learning in my students and inspire lifelong learners. This year will be filled with many adventures and opportunities for students to be able to grow both academically and socially. My goal is to help each child find success and leave school with a smile on their face each day :)
I believe parents and teachers need to work together as a team to ensure student success. Please feel free to contact me any time. The best way to reach me is via email at I check my emails at least once daily and will be sure to get back to you with an answer within a 24-hour period. For all urgent messages please direct them to the office at 201-816-7705. I look forward to working with both you and your child.
I am thrilled to be back at Maugham this year! It is an incredible feeling to be teaching in the same place that originally inspired me to pursue a career in teaching. I am looking forward to a terrific year ahead with my students and the memories we will make!
Get ready for a fantastic year!
Ms. Danielle Breakfield :)
