Course Overview
In the fall semester this course begins with an overview of the major concepts of the social sciences. The areas of study will include the Middle East and Africa with a focus on geography, economics, cultural traditions, historical trends, and contemporary affairs.
In the spring semester the course continues the themes. The areas of concentration are East and South Asia (China, Korea, Japan, India). A research project is required
