Groups for High Schoolers

Psychoeducational Groups for Tenafly High School Students

Coming this January, two psychoeducational groups for Tenafly High School Students!   Both held during lunch in the "Blue Room" in the guidance office, these 8-10 week groups are open to any student who is interested.   On Wednesdays during lunch beginning on Jan. 4, 2023, the Anxiety Strategies group will meet.  This group teaches the nature of anxiety and skills to manage anxiety and stress. This group is co-led by Tenafly SAC Jess Lopes and Care Plus Clinical Manager Heather Brown-Huston, LPC, with assistance from intern Fred Hager, BSW.   The Executive Functioning Skills group will begin during lunch on Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2023.  This group is focused on improving executive functioning skills such as time management, organization, perseverance, flexibility, task completion and frustration tolerance. Intern Fred Hager, BSW will lead this group, with supervision from Care Plus Clinical Manager Heather Brown-Huston, LPC.    Parent permission is required to participate in either group.
