April 21, 2022
Dear TPS Community:
The Tenafly Board of Education is holding listening sessions for our school community to share any personal experiences of racial bias. The listening sessions are voluntary. All members of the Tenafly School Community are welcome to share their stories and listen, learn and support their neighbors. Our priority is to cultivate an inclusive environment for all voices.
Members of the Board of Education will be present, and professional trainers will be facilitating each session.
The board is committed to creating welcoming spaces for all participants, so these sessions will be held in person only, will not be recorded, and will accommodate a maximum of 30 participants per session. The sessions will each last 90-120 minutes. All parents, students and staff of Tenafly Public Schools are welcome. Please note that students under the age of 18 are required to attend with a parent or legal guardian.
There will be one daytime and two evening sessions:
- Monday, May 9th - 7:00pm to 9:00pm
- Tuesday, May 10th - 9:00am to 11:00am
- Wednesday, May 11th - 7:00pm to 9:00pm
