  • For TMS Students: Creating Connections 

    Creating Connections is a social skills group for middle school students. The goal of this group is to provide a safe space for students to maximize social interaction opportunities that will build self-confidence through creating meaningful connections.  In the group, student will work to gain self-monitoring skills, enhance appropriate responses to social situations, and relate to other through cooperative activities, games, and discussions with their peers. 

    All grades welcome! The group will meet weekly on Mondays for seven weeks starting on January 24, 2022.

    • 6th Grade: After School from 3-3:45pm
    • 7th Grade: Period 6-7 (Lunch & Study)
    • 8th Grade: Period 8-9 (Lunch & Study)

    For THS Students: Anxiety Strategies Group 

    Topics: Understanding symptoms of anxiety, stress management, thought reframing, self-talk, deep breathing, relaxation skills, and other ways to manage anxiety more effectively and feel calmer.

    Where: In the “Blue Room” in the Guidance suite on Wednesdays during lunch - 8 weeks, 45-minute sessions. A permission slip is required from parents.

    For THS Students: Executive Functioning Group?

    This in-person psychoeducational group can assist students with skill development in:

    • Planning
    • Working Memory
    • Organization
    • Attention
    • Time Management Flexibility
    • Task Initiation
    • Perseverance, and Self-control 

    Where: In the “Blue Room” located in the Guidance Suite during lunch on Tuesdays in-person 45-minutes per week for 10 weeks. A permission slip is required from parents.
