    Student logs into Chromebook using SCHOOL-provided Tenafly domain login

     

    Active district extensions are seen on device1

    Student is using family-owned Chromebook

    Student logs into Chromebook using PERSONAL Gmail account

    Student logs into Chrome using their PERSONAL Gmail account

    TPS testing shows that active district extensions will not be visible. Student can use Chrome with their personal account and still get to Google Classroom and circumvent TPS logins

    Student is using family-owned Chromebook

    Student logs into Chromebook using SCHOOL-provided Tenafly domain login.

     

    Active district extensions such as Lightspeed Classroom Management and iBoss filtering software should be seen on device2

    Student is using family-owned NON-Chromebook computer (MAC or Windows)

    Student logs into device with a PERSONAL login.

    Student logs into Chrome using TPS-provided id

    iBoss filtering extension will NOT be pushed out, but when Lightspeed Classroom Management™ is turned on, classroom monitoring will be possible if activated by teacher. Note: the extension is always visible even when not active.

    Student is using family-owned NON- Chromebook computer (MAC or Windows)

    Student logs into device with PERSONAL login

    Student logs into Chrome with personal login id

    No district extensions are pushed out, but student can still access full Google Workspace for Education Suite

     

    1  Lightspeed Classroom Management™ extension is NOT pushed out at this time, but will be pushed out during the pilot phase of the program. Not all teachers/students are involved in the pilot.

    2  The extensions are never actually loaded to the computer. They are on the district domain and pushed out by user id.

    3  Even when the Lightspeed Classroom Management extension is pushed out, it is not being utilized until the teacher employs the extension. The extension will indicate it is “ON” whether or not the teacher is using it.
