Hello, I am thrilled to start the new Financial Literacy program at TMS with the elective courses Financial Literacy 7 and Financial Literacy 8. This is my fifth year in the district and the second one teaching these newly introduced classes. The 7th grade curriculum focuses on personal planning and budgeting, career choice and civic responsibility. The 8th grade students will learn about the difference between debit and credit, some different types of loans, a quick introduction to types of insurance policies and the concept of taxation.

I have a Master's in Business Administration from City University of Seattle. I am married with two children and I have 3 pets; a dog named Bubbles and two parakeets, Coco and Alex. In my free time I like to read, hike, watch movies and exercise (dance and barre classes are some of my favorites).

We are back as a district to a more traditional form of classroom instruction, but please note that Google Classroom will still be used throughout the year for assignments and discussion.
