I am a 3rd grade teacher and this is my 20th year teaching at Mackay!  During my career at Mackay, I have taught 1st and 4th grade, as well as, Basic Skills.  I was a track coach for the Tenafly High School indoor and outdoor seasons for 10 years and continue to pass on my love for running through my enrichment club, Fast Feet.

I am not just a teacher, but mother of two little girls.  Our family loves to travel and learn about new places.  Some of the fun places we have visited recently are Sedona, Arizona and Cape Cod, Massachusetts. All these fascinating trips have helped me create the memories that I write about and share during Writer's Workshop.

This year we will have an exciting time in third grade. In reading, we will continue to grow into chapter books and find the genres we love the most. We will work on many different writing pieces in both fiction and nonfiction. Science will be an exciting period of exploration, information and experiments! 

I love to learn and I hope that you will feel that way, too!  I am a huge Pintrest fan and I love to watch tutorials online to find out new and exciting teaching techniques and crafts that I can bring into the classroom to make our learning fun and exciting!
