Welcome to Physical Education / Health

My name is Howie Wein and I teach Physical Education and Family Life at Tenafly Middle School.   I graduated from the University of Rhode Island in 2000 and have been teaching ever since.  I am fortunate to have been teaching in Tenafly for over 15 years.  Outside of teaching I also coach Middle School Track, and High School Tennis.  I can be reached at hwein@tenafly.k12.nj.us.

This course is designated to continue to give students the opportunity to gain personal fitness skills and knowledge through an enriched Physical Education program.  Students in our classes will learn various team sports including football, lacrosse, soccer, tennis, basketball, volleyball, tennis, backyard games, track and field, softball, and numerous fitness themed games and activities.  In our classes we test our students twice a year using Fitnessgram and monitor their growth throughout the school year.  I cannot stress how important effort is, as that will be a major component of a students grade.
